June 14-18, 2021

  Hello EES Families! 

We hope you all had a great weekend, and enjoyed the sun! Can you believe we only have 2 and a half more weeks of school? This year has flown by! This is what we will be doing this week:

Language Arts: We are loving the Barefoot Books! Last week we sang Riding my Tractor, and If You're Happy and You Know It. Feel free to search them on YouTube to listen and sing along at home. 

Math: We are working hard at our math centers. We are focusing on creating different values and our adding and subtracting. Every Thursday we play number Bingo! It's a hit!

Cooking: This week we will practice our spreading skills. We will be spreading jam on rice cakes. Yum! We will also practice appropriate table manners.

Art: This week we will be making paper popsicles. We will be decorating them with stickers, pom poms, glitter, and shapes. 

PE: We have been practice throwing and catching balls. We also have been loving our movement games, where we move like different animals.

- IPP's will be coming home this week Please sign them and send them back as soon as possible. Thank you!

Feb 15-19, 2021

 This week in Rooms 1 & 2:

On Monday we had no school. It was Family Day!

On Tuesday we had art. We made shape monsters!

On Wednesday we had fine motor. We had lots of easter themed stations to explore!

On Thursday we had music. We sang some new songs!

On Friday we played literacy games!

Next week we have Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, February 24.

Dec 7-11, 2020

 This Week in Room 2:

On Monday we had science. We made paintings with white crayon.

On Tuesday we had art. We decorated winter mittens and Christmas trees with pom-poms.

On Wednesday we had fine motor centres. We worked on scissor skills, beading, colouring, and peeling and sticking stickers. 

On Thursday we had cooking. We made yogurt with bananas.

On Friday we have yoga.

 This week in Room 2:

On Monday we had science. We made snow globes.

On Tuesday we had a Remembrance Day assembly. It was virtual through Microsoft Teams.

On Wednesday there was no school. It was Remembrance Day.

On Thursday we had art. We made poppies. Poppies are red and black.

On Friday we had music. We sang songs and practiced our actions.

Oct 26 - 30, 2020

 This week in Room 2:

On Monday we had science. We made some cool sensory bags!

On Tuesday we had a fire drill. We lined up on the field outside. Everyone did great!

On Wednesday we had art. We made spooky halloween graveyards.

On Thursday we had a halloween party! We danced and made masks and ate some yummy treats!

There is no school on Friday. Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday evening and Friday morning.

 This week in Room 2:

On Monday we had no school.

On Tuesday we had art. We made corn with paint and foam cut-outs.

On Wednesday we had restaurant unit. We also changed the school sign. It says Parent Teacher Conferences October 29 and 30.

On Thursday we had cooking. We spread jam on crackers.

On Friday we had music. We sang lots of fun songs!
